E.B. (Liz) Kellinger
E. B. (Liz) Kellinger was born in Los Angeles, California and spent the remainder of her childhood moving around the world as the daughter of an Army officer. She moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2001 from the Washington, DC area. Finding Richmond to be an incredibly dynamic and artistic town, Ms. Kellinger left her career in sales and management and committed to a full-time painting career. She works from her studio at Plant Zero in the Manchester Arts District.
An advocate of integrating both business and art, Liz joined the C3 Board in 2006. "C3 was instrumental in the advancement of my art career. I met people who were were so incredibly generous with their advice and time. I learned the business of art. I was able to connect with other creative people and tap into the incredible energy they generate. I decided to serve on the Board so that I could give back to an organization which has given me so much."
As part of C3, Liz helps coordinate the Collaborative Arts Group, which serves as an informal gathering for artists, performers, writers, arts professionals, creative individuals and art appreciators in the Richmond community. Group meetings take place in galleries, art centers, museums, theaters, or any public venue that supports the arts. Members are encouraged to collaborate and build connections with the community through the arts. She also hosts a "working artist's salon" in her studio - open to any and all artists - every Wednesday evening.
