The Creative Change Center (hereafter referred to as “C3”) respects your right to privacy and feels it is important for You to know how we handle the information we receive from You via our website at www.c3richmond.org (the “Site”) and through interactive services offered on the Site (the “Service”).
Information You Provide
When You sign up to attend a C3 event, we ask for information such as your name, company name and address, e-mail address and other information. C3 uses a third-party intermediary (Paypal, Inc.) to manage credit card processing. This intermediary is used for the sole purpose of credit card processing on C3’s behalf. C3 does not have access to your financial information, including credit card information. Any financial transactions that are in dispute or require a refund will be done solely through Paypal, as C3 does not retain your financial data.
When signing up for an event, or in submitting an application to the C3 Creative Directory, C3 may use the collected personal information, most notably your name and email address, to inform you of new C3 services and possibly request feedback to generally improve the content and functionality of the Service and Site. Your feedback is, of course, optional, and an opportunity to unsubscribe will always be available.
When You visit the Site or use the Service, we use session “cookies” – a piece of information stored on your computer – to allow the Site or Service to uniquely identify your browser while You are logged in and to enable C3 to process your online transactions in the Creative Directory and Registration areas. Session cookies also help us confirm your identity and are required in order to use the Service. C3 uses persistent cookies that only C3 can read and use, to identify You as a C3 customer and make it easier for You to log and use our Services. Users who disable their web browsers’ ability to accept cookies will be able to browse our Site, but will not be able to access or take advantage of the Service.
Except as described in this policy, C3 will not give, sell, rent, or loan any identifiable personal information to any third party. We may disclose such information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We may also share such information if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law. C3 may also provide non-personal, summary or group statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related Site information to the C3 Board Members or third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.
Children’s Personal Information
The Service and Site are not intended for, nor does C3 knowingly collect, any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
Protection of Information
C3 maintains reasonable security measures to protect your information from loss, destruction, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure. These technologies help ensure that your data is safe, secure, and only available to You and to those You provided authorized access. However, no data transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Terms of Service.
