C3: The Creative Change Center is pleased to welcome Noah Scalin, Richmond-based artist/designer/activist, as its January Breakfast Club speaker. Noah has published a second book, 365: A Daily Creativity Journal, in December 2010, designed to help people reap the benefits of making a yearlong daily project. Here at the beginning of 2011, we welcome Noah to share with our audience his inspiration for, and ideas behind, writing his new book. The Breakfast Club will be held on Tuesday, January 18th from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at our C3 office in The Corrugated Box Building, 201 West 7th Street, 23224, in Manchester. The event costs $15.00 and includes a catered breakfast.

Noah Scalin is a Richmond based artist/designer/activist. He is the creator of the award-winning Skull-A-Day project and founder of the socially conscious design and consulting firm Another Limited Rebellion. Noah’s work at ALR has gained international exposure in dozens of books and is frequently featured in design publications, including Graphic Design USA magazine’s “Designing for the Greener Good” cover story October 2010. His fine art has been exhibited in museums and galleries internationally including the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia and the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago. In addition Noah teaches Design Rebels, a course he created on socially conscious graphic design at Virginia Commonwealth University and frequently gives lectures on creativity for universities and business groups across the US. His first book, Skulls, was honored by the Young Adult Library Services Association & the New York Public Library. His new book, 365: A Daily Creativity Journal, from Voyageur Press, is designed to help people reap the benefits of making a yearlong daily project.
