August Breakfast Club: Walking the Talk: An Architectural Commitment to Sustainability REGISTER

Walking the Talk: An Architectural Commitment to Sustainability." Tuesday, August 24th from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. Bob Mills and Bryna Dunn, President and Vice President of Moseley Architects, Respectively, Set to Speak on Sustainability

C3: The Creative Change Center is pleased to announce its August Breakfast Club featuring Bob Mills and Bryna Dunn of Moseley Architects.  Moseley Architects used green building techniques to renovate a contaminated garage into its headquarters at 3200 Norfolk Street, near Bow-Tie Cinemas and the Diamond.  As a result of its innovative green approach to the renovation, the building has earned the highest of four levels of recognition from the U.S. Green Building Council: LEED Platinum, for "Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design."  The 1930’s building is one of only four buildings in Virginia to receive LEED Platinum designation, and it is the only LEED Platinum building in Virginia to also receive historic tax credits.

Bob will share his thoughts on the business importance of “walking the talk” as an architect committed to sustainability.  Bryna will share a brief overview of the creative sustainable features and benefits of the building.

Join us for an exciting morning learning about green building techniques and hearing the story of how one architectural firm put its philosophical commitment to sustainability into practice when renovating its own headquarters.

The C3 Breakfast Club will be held at Moseley Architects’ Headquarters, 3200 Norfolk Street, Richmond, Virginia 23230 on Tuesday, August 24th, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.

The event costs $15.00, and includes breakfast.
